Legal Arrest vs Physical Arrest in Florida

Physical arrest is when they take you to jail, take your photo and acquire a copy of your fingerprints. Legal arrest is when the policeman gives you a notice to appear (NTA) or a promise to Appear (PTA) and you promise that you will go to court. They NTA and the PTA are equivalent to a physical arrest.
